He only died a few times actually (maybe 3-4), he ended up using his remaining deaths to bring back Aunt May and some other people who were killed.

I love Cain’s story here. Him realizing that he got his ass kicked constantly as a villain, and that Friendship is Magic so he’s happier as a good guy… it’s been a very long, slow turn towards full-time hero and I hope it sticks.
I mean most of his villain motivation was family-related issues anyway, so once he got over that…

...but you just know that sooner or later, someone will come along and go "That's not how Juggernaut was when I was growing up!" and jettison years of story, growth, and character development to reset him.

Or MCU synergy.

Whichever happens first.

Exactly, it's been a long time coming. Claremont's take on Cain was a criminal, but still a reasonable guy. He didn't hang out with Black Tom because he needed a guy with energy blasts - he clearly considered Tom a true friend.

By and large, Cain has been a bad guy, but that hasn't meant he's a bad guy.

Cain's bits in this issue were excellent. He's had a bit of a heel-face revolving door over the years now, but this latest one seems to really really nail it.

It occurs to me that Cain has pretty much been a good guy for 20 or so years now, despite writers trying to hit the reset button every now and again (I'm looking at you Mike Carey), but it doesn't stick and I'm glad of that.

And sometimes there's writers trying to have it so there's redeemed Cain but also evil (or at least antagonistic?) Juggernaut.

I suspect a certain someone would approve of Cain talking to Cytorrak like that
