The new Prowler inevitably runs in to Spider-Man.

Man...I remember that guy. The Cat Burgler that robbed JJJ and Jameson put out a thousand dollar reward on the guy. Spider-Man wanted catch him just so he'd have to write out a check to him. ...not that he could cash it.

Ah, okay, I was trying to place him. Did he steal Hobie's gear?

Having a harder time placing Belladonna.. was she robbing some sort of gathering, and Peter had to sneak out away from his friends?

Nope, Belladonna stole it and gave it to him.

As for Belladonna herself, I don't think so. As the "Second Prowler" (literally what he calls himself decades after this issue) pointed out, people saw a figure clinging to a wall and this guy fell to his death, pinning the blame inadvertently on Spider-Man. So he was tracking Prowler down.

Unless you mean where she first showed up, then it was when she was trying to ruin a pre-Hobgoblin Roderick Kingsley's fashion creator career.
