Superman, Wonder Woman and Barry Allen return from a jaunt to Earth-2 to discover the Justice League satellite has been destroyed.
The trio wrongfully believe that the Soviets to blame, so they head to Russia to give them what for. Of course, we know the Justice League satellite was destroyed during the war with Mars. It turns out the heroes were away longer than they thought. In a later issue, J’onn will theorise that the time discrepancy was due to a disturbance in the space-time continuum. A multiversal crisis, if you will.
The heroes arrive at the nearest military base and find themselves confronted by somebody using the gimmick of an old villain
The heroes are all imprisoned. Barry Allen is the one who encounters the original Anton Allegro.
