Cut back to the modern day amd Etrigan is fighting a demon that the possessed Glenda just summoned.

Etrigan rushes to the mortally wounded Phantom's side.

One of Kirby's favorite visual devices was a row of three panels depicting the same scene progressing through time, and it shows up again and again in his work. But he got a LOT of mileage out of "three panels of someone aging rapidly for supernatural reasons" a few years after the above when he did the 2001: A Space Odyssey series.

Why did he begin to age so rapidly? Was he kept alive longer than he should have been after losing his face?
