Rom leads Galactus to the Dark Nebula, in the hope he will devour the Dire Wraith homeworld.

' For the first time in his existence ' is fair enough, but also feel like it's undercutting Galactus' previously established impressiveness to sell the Dire Wraiths, enemies of a toy being sold.

(Occupational hazard of a shared universe, but still - statistically, he really should've run into several worlds where feeding would've been difficult by this time.)

I think the planet of the Impossible Man gave him indigestion, if I recall correctly...

That wouldn't happen for a good few years after this.

Wow.

Gotta admit, the AITA conversation that could erupt from both sides of this issue would be nothing less than fascinating to read.

Galactus having a Reddit account is mind boggling enough as a concept! :)

This issue is kinda imprecise when it comes to celestial terms. You'd guess that Black Nebula would be a nebula, but it's also referred to as a galaxy. And all that is shown is a single solar system.

It's definitely outdated, but the term "nebula" was originally used to describe galaxies beyond the Milky Way up until the early 20th century. So what we call the Andromeda Galaxy was commonly called the Andromeda Nebula, and spiral galaxies were called "spiral nebulae".

By the time this came out, yes, nebulae were not galaxies, but maybe Rom's translator was on the fritz the day he processed English for the first time and scanned an outdated text book! :)

That's some fine dramatic introduction for Wraithworld right there.

Really dark moment in the ish where the Spaceknights are standing around wondering about tricking Galactus into trying to eat Wraithworld...
And then decide it's awesome.

Foolish mortals. Galactus is beyond your concepts of "good" and "evil".
But apparently not beyond being super passive-aggressive when he's hangry.

I love how they have Wraithworld in text three times, as if it's some evil, planetary version of Shaft.

You clearly don't understand evil tourism.
