We have a new look at the Absolute Joker courtesy of an upcoming cover and… uh… I don’t think anyone was expecting this.

Fair enough - Absolute Joker has been " normal-enough-looking man in suit so far " that him fully unmasked would have to be a monster.

Joker looking like a demon is an interesting choice. I'm intrigued with how it will be development written in the comic.

It looks like he's gone through multiple of Ark-M's experiments - both Venom and whatever they did to turn Waylon into Croc.

Well. That's certainly a different look for him. I'm curious what his personality, motives and overall approach will be like. Given the Absolute line's track record thus far of staying well away from "business as usual" with its main characters and their supporting cast, I expect (read, "hope") this Joker won't be the tired old "Step 1: Torture and/or murder someone; Step 2: Deliver a monologue which amounts to little more than 'I hope Bat-senpai notices me'; Step 3: Repeat" dealie.

He does, he’s the overarching big bad. He sent Bane after Batman.

The fact he sends someone else to take care of it shows it's not really the same dynamic, though. "Oh, someone's trying to make waves in my nice little setup? Better make sure they're made an example of, and I know a guy for that."
