All the cool characters and interesting plots of the decades-long Transformers mythos exist for one reason alone.

And boy, does this issue succeed on that level. A Dan Mora design certainly doesn't hurt. Me want!

Except it's Arcee (or any femme transformer) so there won't be a toy any time soon.

I mean, didn't Windblade start the same way as this, and she's a regular in TF media lineups now?

Yes, but that also makes her most often the only female Transformer (or one of two if there's a Decepticon in the currently airing show) that gets a toy.

Flamewar seems to be the female Decepticon nominated to be representation in media. She appears in the Transformers-skinned Robo-Rally (on the cover, even!) and was one of the MTG Transformers cards, alomgside Arcee both times.

Flamewar or sometimes Slipstream (who is an easier choice as it lets Hasbro just reuse any Starscream / Windblade mould they already have.)

Any Ultra Magnus that isn’t a small bot wearing a bigger bot wearing a bigger bot isn’t a real Magnus at this point.

It happend between pages, with no explanation. Given the scarcity of enrgon, I don't know how half the suff in this book is getting done. Then again, 90% of Transformers media has 'running low on energon' just be an inciting incident problem for maybe the first story to never be brought up again.

They were just given a large supply of Energon by a not at all suspicious looking government guy and his good pal Max Mayhem. I don't know how long it will last.
