Hard not to feel for Masumi - she was working so hard on self control and self improvement, but it turns out that being confronted with the corpse of your recently no-longer-an-ex, right after she'd returned and rekindled her love for you, was just too much for Masumi to bear. And honestly, who can say they'd be prepared to handle that experience with grace, waking up in the arms of a corpse who had been your beloved before you drugged yourself to sleep to protect the world.

Really interesting to see where these first 16 issues took us and where it leaves off, setting up for the next volume. All of the pieces were in place so when one fell... wham bam end of the world thank you very much.
