On the one hand, I would like to be cautiously optimistic that Moira and her cod accent are back to factory settings, and she doesn't seem to be a cowardly, selfish, genocidally spiteful murderbot...
But on the other, I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop.

I love the callbacks to the New Mutants OGN.
Especially the uniforms on the soccer (football) team being done in the style and colors of the original Hellions.

Whatever is going on, I'm intrigued and amused. Also, I like this grouping as (faux) New Mutants. With Glitter and Calico, you even have actual queer characters instead of the Dani/Rahne subtext... :)

When the art's a minimal " multiple panel backgrounds are 60-80% gradient ", don't indulge in Claremontian over-writing (' It's a girl! And she's hurt! ')

The homage might be pleasing, but the effect is padding.
