Oh man, Cap is naive. How many times has American democracy made choices that end up looking fascist? We're probably living in the worst example now, but I can think of at least seven that seemed fascist in my lifetime. Even in universe he has Senator Kelly and Mayor Fisk as examples.

That's the genius of Mephisto when he's written well -- he'll offer you a deal that, even though it's textbook Too Good To Be True, that you know has some kind of angle that'll benefit him and cost you and everyone else infinitely more than you'd ever thought you'd be able to pay... You can't help but ask yourself "... If I refuse, will I be able to live with myself knowing that I could have had this and turned it down?"

Cap would never accept such a deal. He has faith in people and wouldn't believe a deal with the devil is required. Poor writing. Boo indeed.

Referencing One More Day's terrible plot twist isn't helping your cause here, man. Bad writing on top of bad writing. I mean, the devil twisting his deals is like RULE NUMBER ONE - how is this even a thing?

Did Cap just grant freaken Metaphisto the authority to reshape the political landscape of the entire planet? Is he sleep deprived or is this a secret plot between him and Doom?

Because that is insane. We finna see Ethnic cleansing we ain't never seen before.

Remember that Avengers story where the Squadron Supreme and Coulson with the Hell Cube ruled the world? That's Mephisto's idea of American democracy reigning.

Willing to bet that Cap has something planned. I.E. when T'Challa gave Mephisto his soul he was spiritually bound with the Panther God and all the past Black Panthers; as a result Mephisto was overwhelmed by all the different souls and had to surrender.

You know, I believe Steve would trade his soul to the devil, if it was to someone else. However, I doubt that Marvel would pull another "one more day" without backlash. I bet by next issue, Steve Rogers won't sell his soul to mephisto. Also, apparently even hell hates nazis.
