Four scans from Blackest Night: Wonder Woman #2.


So now Diana has herself a black ring, and fights Mera.  Mera gets in a few good hits, but Diana's about to gut her:



Diana flies off and tries to remove the black ring to kill herself, but can't.  Instead, she goes on a rampage around Themyscira, killing Cassie, BL-Donna, and Hippolyta, and then makes out with Batman.  This increasingly odd turn of events is revealed to be:




That double-spread was damn hard to work with, because my scanner's not quite large enough, so I had to figure out how to stitch images together using ArcSoft Photostudio.

Nice scene, and I love seeing Aphrodite's Drew Johnson design again (the 'Diana Prince' thing is still annoying, but I suppose if that's how it's going to happen in the main title continuity should be observed).

The Star Sapphire costume looks worse in this one.

Is Diana the only person to resist the BL ring? A whole lot of people have tried to reach the BLs, but I can't remember a single one so much as pausing. Diana managed to make hers *retreat*, turn on BL Donna, then finally break it. Which is really awesome.

I think it's because the ones who were changed at the end of 5 weren't quite the same Black Lantern wise as the ones who were dead and possessed by the rings. With them (Diana and groups) the rings probably just suppressed their souls or something.

Even out of the ring-possessed, she's the first to break free :)

Well technically Superboy-Prime was able to break free too. Killed, made a BL, then his rage got the better of him and he threw off the black ring for a red one. But Prime is a douche and on another Earth so maybe he doesn't count.
