Abner showed up for a short time in the last Thunderbolts series when Songbird was on the run, he promised to help her out, and was working on a MACH VI armor, but I don't think he showed up again, unless it was in another Dark Reign cross over I didn't read.

Guy was a merc before he hooked up with the Skull. With the Red Skull out of his directional purpose in life, maybe he reverted back to his older role as a merc for hire?

To be fair, just because they are given a chance at redemtion, doesn't mean they will take it.

They said it would be a rotating cast, so guess some will fail. And hey, maybe Cage will beat up Crossbones.

echoing the previous comments, oooo Juggernaut, I love him as an anti-hero and was bothered to see him revillianated. Thunderbolts is a good fit for him. but Crossbones?!

All the most powerful criminals are now being contained at The Raft, an Alcatraz for the super community. At the east end of the prison is Thunderbolts tower, which all of the incarcerated can see from the courtyard, projecting up like a beacon, a constant reminder.

Isn't that pretty much exactly what Geoff Johns did with his Teen Titans Tower when it was built next to the DCU's actual supervillain prison version of Alcatraz?

Did I travel forward in time to April Fools Day, because I'm having a really difficult time processing this.

However, as much as I miss Abe & Melissa, this is a fantastic line up otherwise. Poor Karla is going to be so pissed though. Second fiddle to some bozo, yet again.

As an example of former convict turning his life around and becoming a hero he'd be a pretty GOOD choice for a team which is back to being about redemption and second chances, IMHO.

And Karla might enjoy being the power behind the throne again. I preferred her when she used her smarts to manipulating things to suit her own ends rather than risk being the one in charge.

No, I think that's Exodus. Look at the shoulders - the curvy spiky frame-bits behind the cape do match up.

I loveit and it's a rotating cast so guess some will be kicked out( I doubt Crossbones wants redemtion and he's white supremist so it will be intersting to see him interact with Cage).
