Thought I'd share some rather fun/disturbing/freaky Silver Age Flash covers with you, as well as some exciting music news

With the theme by Danny Elfman and scores by the brilliant, much missed, Shirley Walker who definitely cut her teeth on this for her magnificent work on the Batman the Animated Series (Which was also released by these guys as a 2CD set a couple of years ago, and whilst my own copy is much cherished, is sadly sold out now).

This has suites from the Pilot episode, Captain Cold, the Trickster (Yes, it has the marvellously loopy Trickster theme to it that very much presages the Joker), the Nightshade episode and others. my copy arrived yesterday and it's bloody AWESOME!

For anyone curious as to why Barry has an action figure when the prominent Flash on the show is Jay, there is an upcoming episode that focuses on the Flash legacy. It will feature Jay, Barry, and Wally fighting Professor Zoom who will be voiced by John Wesley Shipp, who played Barry in the live action Flash tv series.

Nice. This soundtrack almost makes retro's must-have list, but is definitely at the top of retro's wish list.

A lot of classic covers. I never bought any of these, so I don't know how they seem so familiar, exactly, beyond that I know I've seen most of them a lot.

So true! Hate hair-covering cowls. Not to mention that there's not a lot of yellow out there, so he used to stand out. That goofy Flash family and their musical chairs approach of hand-me-down costumes...

There's actually a much less treacherous Rogues convention early in Wally's Flash tenure when he accepts an invitation to attend (Jesse thought it would be funny, who knew he'd take them up on it)

And has a marvellous exchange between Dr Alchemy and Wally's grlfriend at the time when Alchemy claims to be misunderstood.

Interesting to note that, as Flash gets befattened by the fattening ray, he gets proportionately BIGGER, too. I mean, he's crouching down at first, so it's a tad difficult to tell if he's gotten any taller, but his arms definitely look a big longer, and his hands and feet have grown enormously. Look at those fingers! They must be about six inches long!
