My problem is that I have four words in my name - a first name, a middle name, and a double-barreled, unhyphenated last name - which means that they all get melted together into mixed-up blobs whenever someone feeds them into a computer. This leads to a never-ending discussion with people in authority - librarians, people at the airport, etc. - as to just what my name IS. I have had my first name as my last name, my last name as my first name, PART of my last name as my first name with the other part somewhere in the middle, bits and pieces of the names combined and jammed together - oh, it goes on and on. And none of this is helped by the fact that I go by my MIDDLE name instead of my first name, both of which are uncommon ones...
