And now the other half of "Warrior" #10, with work by other British creators I hope you will be interested in seeing.

First up, "Shandor, Demon Stalker" by Steve Moore and David Jackson.

In Budapest, a poor man named Johan Hubner robs a slightly more affluent man of his purse. As he returns to the Poor Brothers' Hostel, however, he discovers that "slightly" is the operative word, with barely enough cash stolen to buy a loaf of bread.

The nearby Bakony forest, meanwhile, has been the shelter of Father Shandor for the last little while, to keep him away from humans, because...

But now he needs to search for something. On the road to Budapest, Shandor meets a fellow clergyman, not far from a village church. The priest extends his hand in greeting, and Shandor reluctantly puts his will to the test, successfully shaking the hand of another without killing him. They chat for a while, and the priest asks Shandor if he wants confession, but Shandor demurs, as he is not yet ready to tell his troubles to another human, and he hasn't heard back from God lately. The priest urges a silver cross on Shandor, and asks him to remember that God does indeed see your suffering, God will judge the guilty, and God will render justice in due time.

"Fairy tales!" exclaims Johan, though he's actually referring to the stories his wife Miliza is telling their son. Good wins, evil is punished, the real world isn't like that. The rich get happiness by stealing from the poor, and are not punished. There is no hope in the world, no heroes, no justice, and no food unless Johan can find a better robbery victim tonight.

Father Shandor checks into the Poor Brothers' Hostel, which is full up due to slum clearances, but is alloted a table in the refectory to sit and snooze at. Johan returns later that night, covered in blood. Seems his latest victim objected to being robbed, and Johan had to use violence. Quite a lot of it, actually. He got away without being seen...probably, but they'll need to head to his brother's place in Miskolc for a while. Miliza objects that murder is considerably more of an issue than theft. Wanting to quiet her fears, Johan says that he'll confess to the priest he just say in the refectory, get a quick soul-cleansing, and Bob's your uncle. (For those of you unfamiliar with Catholic dogma--the seal of the confessional does not work that way.)

Not that it matters much, since Shandor is still too hung up on his own problems to act as a confessor for anyone else. Shandor's also too hung up on his own problems to note Johan eyeing what the priest is holding.

Next up is "The Spiral Path" by Steve Parkhouse and John Ridgway.

A woman named Bethbara surveys a valley said to have caves that one can enter and then exit...elsewhere. Her guide reveals that her mother, who died in childbirth, originally came from this valley.

Many leagues away on the plains of Tairngir, the massed armies of Artuk (lord of death) grow impatient for battle, and their chieftains begin to squabble. Caradoc is all for pressing ahead, but the fair-haired Cormac is more cautious. He points out that King Galbrain was spirited away by the sorceror Ruad, who has walked the Spiral Path a dozen times. That means there's going to be powerful magic protecting the hill, and they need to know the details before rushing in. Caradoc hints that Cormac may be a coward, a move that alarms the dwarfs (as in short people) hiding in a nearby tent. They know that Cormac is prone to killing people who irritate him without even getting angry.

But not tonight. Caradoc is left to stew, and decides that no amount of sorcery is a match for a good blade...aha! Cormac is obviously stalling for time in order to seize King Galbrain's treasure all for himself! To steal a march on his rival chieftain, Caradoc takes a dozen men out of the camp under cover of darkness. As they reach the hill, a dark shape joins the end of the line, and the men fall silently one by one....

And finally, "Laser Eraser and Pressbutton" by Pedro Henry and Steve Dillon.

Mysta (Laser Eraser) suits up for combat. She, the unspeakable alien Zirk, and Axel Pressbutton have arrived on the primitive planet Klemond to find and kill Mysta's old enemy Artarius Donthax. It's the annual dinodron herd culling, and the great wooden wagons are chopping up the peaceful giant critters. Donthax is unimpressed by the locals; they're just wasting meat, while he's efficiently using headshots so that his kills will have the maximum of salable flesh.

Then a "stray" shot hits Donthax's Golgak, which panics and runs straight into the dino herd. Donthax quickly realizes this is no accident, and spots the invaders. Mysta wants to solo this, since Donthax is her archenemy, and he quickly realizes that she'll be coming in to make it personal. What Donthax doesn't know is that his female sidekick Lemanya has also spotted the intruders, including one she knows quite well...

Mysta leaps to the attack, but Donthax turns out to have excellent hearing, and manages to clip her. Before Donthax can finish her off though, Pressbutton smashes the killer's gun.

As mentioned in the comment to the previous Warrior post, this series was reprinted by Eclipse, but good luck finding it.
