Um, it's the Marvel Universe. There's probably a dozen who can do each of those things, not even counting mutants.

Emma Frost can do the diamond thing too. And can't Cable do something along the lines of the laser thing? That one's the most common of the lot, the whole "absorb energy and use it for your own purposes" schtick.

Emma couldn't do it at the time that was written, though, and I don't think Cable was even part of the Marvel Universe then?

Not sure on the year, but I think this is shortly after Korvac and the Collector? Sometime in the early-mid 80s? Pre-West Coast Avengers almost certainly.

Not that it negates the point that lots of people in the Marvel Universe could do what Vision does and still be human.

Rubenstein was fantastic. (Actually, Don Heck did decent layouts - a strong inker probably would have been a good match.)

Yeah, that is what a fugured. I used to work in Comercial Illustration and ever art director had "one of those names" in the rolladex. They were hacks but could always get it done types.

Given Vision's power set and personality (at his best), I'd say that Vision probably ranked as one of the most powerful androids on Earth. Not sure if he can take out a full-combat version Doombot, but I bet he'd give anyone with Stark armor tech or Pym android tech heaps of pain. On the other hand...there is Machine Man, Warren Ellis version. The intangibility would prevent Machine Man from having too much fun until he figures out how to counteract it, though.
