It would make all of this totally worthwhile if "we can't go back in time and change history" doesn't apply here, because that's what Thawne has already done. So if Barry is allowed to fix it at some point, I'd say well done.

sadly they made up some rule where Barry's Speed Force doesn't allow changes but Thawne's does.
