That is so adorable. I like how nervous and stumbly Bruce is and how Dick just cuts thru all the crap and is like "YES I LOVE YOU TOO MAN".

Also, Dick trying to be all coy with Babs and Bruce's abrupt "He'll be over later" is lolarious.

Right? That's my other favourite part of this. And Babs' being so teasing! There's a great scene between the two of them I found (actually I've found more than one ;-D) that I'll have to post later. They're stuck in traffic and are playing games and holding hands and it's sooooo cute.

I know I'm joining a chorus here, but... awwwwwwwww. Bruce, you big ol' softy. Good for you.
Also, it's good writing for his character, given that it takes being directly confronted with the concept during a case for him to start thinking of it seriously. The man has a much bigger and sympathetic heart than it sometimes seems - it's just that he's so obsessed with his quest for justice that all else falls by the wayside at times, including family. He doesn't mean for it to happen, he's dismayed when he realizes it's happened, but inevitably, it happens - and this sort of thing is his way of making up for it.

And that last panel is such a prime example of "context is for the week".

Really? I don't see it as being out of character for Bruce or Dick. It's very much in character. Bruce has trouble expressing his emotions/feelings; Dick doesn't. I've always thought this was a wonderful scene. :-)

Aw. This is so adorable. Haha. I love that they both know what each other mean through the whole thing. Dick trying to sneak to Babs'... Bruce trying to say the L word.

I think there's a lot of THIS kind of thing missing right now in some of the Batman comics. D:

Yeah, I kind of wish Steets of Gotham was being used more for this; or to tell flashback stories. There's a reason why it's called the BatFamily.

Yay! See, now that's and Adoption moment with decades of backstory to make it meaningful. Sometimes the lack of a biological connection can make it even more of a father/son thing!
