In this issue a strange creature from Outer Space gets loose in the rock. Boober takes this about as well as you can imagine.

So anyway Doc found a lost Kitten which finds it's way into the Fraggle Hole.
After Wembley and Boober are initially scared by the kitten, the Fraggles decide to lead it home.

These are all from the story "A Vistor From Outer Space" written by Leigh Dragoon with art by Jake Myler. This issue also has two back-up stories: a postcard from Traveling Matt and an origin story for Convincing John.

I hope they remember "The Secret of Convincing John" where we found that he and Wembley have a lot in common, since the reason he tries to make other people make up their minds, is because he can never make up his mind on his own, in other words he's a chronic wembler (which sort of suggests that they're probably the two smartest Fraggles, since they both understand ALL sides of any situation rather than just their own)

Oh and most of the story is written to the tune of John's theme-song.

Date: 2010-05-30 03:56 am (UTC)The best bet for real world scale with them is the Outer Space scenes...which contradict themselves - on the one hand, Gobo's a bit shorter than Sprocket (a fairly large, but not significantly outsized mutt, if we compare him to Doc)...and on the other, Uncle Travelling Matt is about the same size as an average human child. Matt's only about half a head taller than Gobo when they're together. (That's in the muppet version...in the animated version, I believe they were consistently smaller - about the same size in relation to humans as to Gorgs.)
Being about eyeball level with a cat is consistent with the Gobo/Sprocket example.
