"I picture them as the team that’s called in when the hero just can’t deal with it. They are the ones that take on the case." -- Keith Giffen

"It’s the first comic I’m writing where every issue is submitted to the publication review board of the CIA. There’s nothing in it that’s secret, and it’s a crime comic that takes place in Iraq at the time that I was there. It’s not about why I was there, doing counter-terrorism work. But it touches on issues that I saw and the world I saw doing that job." -- Tom King

"The majority of how we address faith in the story is through Reverend Anderson (played by Philip Glenister), because he is a Baptist preacher. Patrick (Fugit)’s character Kyle is secular, so he doesn’t really believe in the stuff that he’s experiencing. Which I think is a fun dynamic and a good place to have that character in. As the series progresses, Anderson will see Kyle’s side of things, and sometimes Kyle will see Anderson’s side of things. That’s a good interplay between them. But also I think we try not to take a stance. There is no “this is the way religion is” or “this is the way you should believe.” We try to keep things open to interpretation as much as possible. We don’t ever want to come off like this show is preaching or evangelizing in any way." - Robert Kirkman

Plato's Apology, as any first-year philosophy student could tell you, doesn't have Socrates apologize for challenging others' conventional opinions. Rather, it presents his defence (the actual meaning of the Greek apologia) of his actions. But what, imagines Corey Mohler's webcomic Existential Comics, if Socrates had in fact defended himself in the form of an "apology?"

'And I'm SUUUPER sorry that...' )
