The UK has announced it's latest path out of lockdown, with the intent that provided rates continue to fall and vaccination rates continue as planned, social distancing rules can be ended by June. We shall see, but it's nice to have something to look forward to.
Also in the UK, our Supreme Court rules that Uber drivers were employees, not self-employed contractors. This would give them significantly more rights than before. Uber state that this only affects a small handful of people, but we shall see where it leads.
Much of the US has endured incredible cold temperatures this week, with particular emphasis in the news being paid to Texas, where record thirty year lows, resulted in massive failure of power and water, and apparent price gouging for those who DID have power.Australia's disagreement with Facebook about news provision, seems to be over.No spoilers for WandaVision, but I must confess I've had that bloody theme tune (If you've seen the episode, you KNOW the one) on loop in my head since Friday! Again, full credit to the composers and titles designers involved because that, as I believe the young people say, is a BOP!
"Power Rangers Dino Fury" started (the second dinosaur themed one in four adaptions, well I suppose dinosaurs always sell). I always liked the Ryusoulger "Knight" costumes, and maybe a smaller (though still just as pretty as usual) core team (staring with three, expanding to five) will allow for something closer to character work? Also we haven't seen a bumbling slapstick "comedy" duo yet, so might we be spared this year?
Duck Tales starts it final batch of episodes this week, with more cameos from other Disney Afternoon shows, including one I was definitely not expecting. I mean... the freaking WUZZLES??
Random question: Did you have a toy stuffed animal* as a kid and if so, what sort?
