GALAXY GREEN was one of the (many) story concepts Jack "The King" Kirby came up with in life that never actually got published. You can't often say this about a man with as diverse a body of work as Kirby's, but this was really quite unlike anything else he ever worked on.

Who would have thought Kirby had this kind of sauciness in him?
According to issue #20 of the Jack Kirby Collector magazine, this series was conceived for an "'underground'-style tabloid publication called Uncle Carmine's Fat City Comix" that Kirby tried to sell DC Comics on.
If you're feeling disappointed that DC didn't bite on GALAXY GREEN, don't worry. Alex Ross' next major project will involve reviving and revamping the property for the modern day.
