At Comic-Con's Fables panel, when asked if there would be any more crossovers between FABLES and JACK OF FABLES in the future, Willingham and Sturges' answer was a firm no. They said upcoming issues of JACK would make it obvious why.
Now the latest issue (#46) is out, and it looks like this is what they were talking about. What happens this issue doesn't make future crossovers *impossible*, but it certainly makes it very difficult to ever do another one.
That's because between last issue and this one, there's a huge leap forward in time. Yes, the parent title has done that before too, but never a HUGE one like this. It's conceivable that FABLES will someday catch up to JACK's time, with enough time skips between arcs, but it would take years' worth of issues at least, I'd imagine.
This issue, we catch up on what the various JACK cast members have been up to in the intervening years. Jack Frost (now much more buff) has become a legendary hero, famous across countless worlds, with many feats to his name.

Also, MacDuff now has heat vision.
As for the Page sisters, they've been journeying to the secret libraries across the world, one after the next, trying to rebuild their collection of special books.

Urban fantasy seems to love attaching mystic significance to those lions. I guess there's just something about two huge lions poised in front of a library.
