One Perfect Moment: Gin Ichimaru

My final post for One Perfect Moment Week and I shift to manga and to Gin Ichimaru from the anime/manga Bleach. Spoilers for the most recent chapter.





I was going to post Gin regardless, but I cannot help but post this one than Rukia's assessment of Gin with him then utterly destroying her resolve just for the lulz.

These five scans aren't mine, but of One Manga. May it rest in peace. As to what Aizen is asking Gin about in the first page. Rangiku confronted the pair in the previous two chapters before Gin took her off and possibly killed her in the last.







Yeah.. Gin just went up and stabbed his own boss. Why? We don't know yet. Probably for more evil lulz.

I love that "Bye Bye" scene. When I had the crime League in my Mutants and Mastermind setting make a dramatic exit during one adventure, I had Wildcard (the teams Joker expy) say that, I even linked to the video.

And yeah, saw this coming a mile away;

Sad thing is - BECAUSE this is Bleach - the first thing I thought of when Gin "killed" Aizen is - "oh, Gin, you are so dead". No way Kubo kills off Aizen so easily after building him up into a Godmode Villain Sue.

Speaking of which, leaving aside that Matsumoto is one of the more popular characters/pin-ups, she is also one of Kubo's stated favorite female characters (along with Yuriochi) and unless the Captain-General is really dead, Kubo has yet to kill off a good guy. In other words, 99% chance she's still alive and that's just another thing Gin was lying about.

Someone pointed out at ElJay that there's a fairly low-level Bakido which completely masks the reistu of anyone it's cast on, so there's a fairly good chance she's still alive IMO.

Also, if you look close at the page where Gin is blasting Aizen's chest apart you can see the Hok-thingie clearly. If Gin pulls that out Aizen won't be able to regenerate. I hope.

99% chance that the next thing Aizen says was "Oh, Gin? Remember when I told you what the limit was on my zanpakutou? I...was lying about that, too."

Aizen's zanpakutou had a stated limit? what was it? I only watched the anime and stopped paying attention when the Bount arc started.

We just found out this chapter- if you touch the blade before it releases, you're safe from hypnosis (a bit like Tousen's), so Gin touched it right before stabbing Aizen in the chest with bankai.

No but seriously, you're totally right.

Pretty much everything that's happened since Inoue got kidnapped has had a direct parallel with what happened after Rukia was arrested. This could be the parallel to when Captain Niceguy turned out to be what Aizen turned out to be.

I just hope Gin succeeds cause it's Gin. I rather see him vs. Ichigo in the end than Aizen. But yeah somehow the last twenty chapters have taught me. It's Aizen. He'll get out of it. If he doesn't let the mad squee begin! AND LONG LIVE GIN!

If this is how Aizen goes out, then I don't like it. Too anti climactic for my taste and all the training Ichigo is doing just to kick Aizen's ass. Ichigo will own Gin hands down also. Plus Aizen did all that evolving and has yet to show off his bankai. So it would definitely feel like a waste.

Side note: Gin looks damn creepy.

But then it be ironic that Aizen was killed by the one element he could never have predicted which Gin represents, utter chaos. That sums up Gin to a T. Every move he does is random and unpredictable. You never know what he'll do other than it won't be good. But also look at this way Gin is the flip side to Ichigo.

Yea but remember this. If Bleach taught us anything, it's that when it comes to Aizen, nothing is as it seems.

I'm really, really hoping that this means Aizen will actually die and that Bleach can start to wind up.

Makes me wonder if it'd just end after stopping Aizen. That would, be sad.

At this point, yeah. I did say 'wind down', though originally. Not, end with chapter 415. Althought that would be funny.

I'm still waiting on them to get back to Kenpachi and Byakuya so I can finally see them fight.

Who'd still thought the last Espada standing would be Yammy?

I didn't..mainly because I really hate Yammy.

Just the *look* Kenpachi and Byakuya gave Yammy as he was all "Hey, hey, over here!" made my day.

Shinigami: Dude. We are ARGUING here!

Heh I really wish we could see how Kenny and Byakuya would one each other up taking Yammy down piece by piece. Hell if Kenny took part in the damned battle of the town the story be over by now. It be.. "OH MY GOD IT'S KENPACHI ZARAKI! RUN!!!!"

Oh if one day Kenny ever achieves bankai he probably nuke the entire universe. :P

Nope. Just that if he uses two hands on a sword he causes even more insane damage. Plus during the little next episode preview characters where fearing the day Kenny ever learned shikai and bankai.

I always assumed he was using Shikai...holy crap.

No, he doesn't ; after his first big fight with Ichigo during the first SS arc, there's a moment where he has a conversation with his sword and resolves to learn its name. He hasn't yet...

But...you think that's a scary thought? I think YACHIRU gaining shikai is going to be pants-drenching scarier. I vote for it turning into this biiiiig freaking axe. :)
