I'm enjoying BOOM!'s Irredeemable and Incorruptible. In this issue Kaidan discovers something with the aid of Qubit. 4 pages, enjoy!





Qubit and Kaidan are at a cemetery mourning Volt, a fallen member of the Paradigm. Kaidan is understandable depressed. Many of her friends are dead, the super she admired most went Kid Miracle Man on the world and the country is in shambles.

BTW, Kaidan has an interesting power-set. She can make ancient Japanese ghost stories real and use them as weapons. It's a talent passed through the women in her family.





I loved this spread.





DAMN! That is hard-core. The Plutonian is in for a surprise. I like this character and her powers.

Too many variables to know if this can lead to anything; Does she need to be concentrating on the ghosts? What can the ghosts actually do beyond stand there looking translucent?

She tells stories and the ghosts attack the villains. It's magic-based ability.

So she could tell stories about the heroes and they could still use their powers and skills.

Good News: Kaidan can summon a bunch of superheroes.

Bad News: These heroes already went up against the Plutonian and lost horribly.

The Good: They now have an army to whittle down on Tony.

The Bad: Kaidan is instantly going to be on Tony's hitlist, and there's no one on the team who can really stand in his way.

Still, he's not as fast, and he might resent someone stealing his spotlight.

Whoa. I'll give Waid credit here; that is one power that I HAVEN'T heard of before.

Does Amy Tan have a particular association with ghost stories? It's not a connection I would have made.

No, I was thinking of her for the traditional Asian culture storytelling aspect. Kid Eternity is the ghost connection.

I thought it was going to be revealed that Qubit was a villain in disguise or something but it turned out to be several times better than that.
