Anyone else pleasently surprised at how little Kal's parents are acting like jerks? You could make an arguement about Jor-El but even then I do find some of his concerns & views valid.

yeah, Jor-El's basically being an overly worried parent who wants to make people lives as easy as possible, especially Kal, but everyone else is willing to face the difficulties.

Full Kryptonian DNA, but born on Earth means half-super? No sense at all. Kal has a brother and a sister. Love! Kal is strikingly different from brother and sister. Dislike.

The body density of Kryptonians is related to an adaptation to much heavier gravity(which would inhibit evolution of ANY bipedal humanoid, but never mind). If living in Earth orbit long enough can virtually cripple adult astronauts who forget to exercise(and even then it's rough when they get back), then being conceived, carried to term, and born on a world where gravity is light as a feather by comparison, would certainly change them. In fact, I can see many of their powers fading within three generations. Remember, we just need a red sun or kryptonite, and no matter what Clark's DNA is, he has none of his powers, not his strength, not his invulnerability, nothing.

Admittedly Kal's sibling being half as powerful still makes little sense to me. I thought they were trying to say since they were born on Earth their bodies had to grow before processing solar energy as well but that wasn't it as we see later.

Basically, their bodies were exposed to Earth's environment and gravity while still developing, an unnatural environment for them. It's kind of like mutation.

The sibling being half-power thing didn't make sense to me either but oh well.

Oh and I just love the fact that Lex turned out to be a good guy, all he needed was some little guidance and being with someone as intellectual as him. I just hope that please he doesn't turn into a villain or anything stupid like that, I want a good Lex.
