So it's pretty clear that Max is not behind Wonder Woman's current circumstances.



They start talking about how it was the death of Wonder Woman at Max's hands that brought about the horrible future and discover that no one knows who she is, except for Booster, Captain Atom, Bea, and Tora.



Bea is probably going to be fine, but it is a nice dramatic moment.

In real life, that'd be really quite fatal, especially if there's a gut shot there. In comics, not so much.

I see a shattered pelvis and perforated abdomen. If Ice can put her into cryogenic storage or something and they get her to surgery, she's got a pretty good shot. Even the hit to her midsection's not going to be immediately fatal, but what I'd be worried about more than anything is the pelvis and thigh hits.

Oh noes. References to alterWonder are occurring. Here I thought it honestly wouldn't be brought up until it was shown in Wonderwoman's title directly since it's a headache inducer to the wider DCU.

I honestly would love if Max just gave up on this idea and moved on solely because he can't find her. That and that alone could, by itself, just about make me tolerate that alterWonder ever happened.

Funny. And I find it completely in keeping with DC that Wonder Woman's "much needed" and widely touted (and now FUCKED UP) reboot would end up being a plot point in a Winick book.

The crap Tora said in this issue has seriously just...I'm done with Winick. And she was one of my favourites, too.

Here's to hoping someone fixes her along the way, after this guy's no longer writing her. I feel dumb for getting so offended but fuck it, this stupid "CULTURE OF STEALING AND THIEVING, IT'S NOT HEROIC" etc GODDDD go lick some white dog crap

I'm not concerned about Bea because no matter how annoyed I am with Winick right now I have faith he's not stupid enough to kill off that wonderful woman *_*

Also, I love how they haven't even shown Donna's or Cassie's reaction to Wonder Woman apparently missing or not existing anymore. Donna and cassie should both be having a dumb existential crisis right now.

I thought I would pick up anything between two covers so long as Booster and/or (any) Beetle were in it, but after this issue I am done with this.

outside of the appearence in Flash, where the future court had files of Wondy wearing both costumes this is the first reference to it I think.

I'd suggest this shows it will be undone.

Well, this isn't *quite* as good as what I was expecting: that somehow Bruce Wayne would be the only one to remember Max Lord *and* Wonder Woman.

And no "Who is Donna Troy?" questions so far.

I admit, I literally LOL'd at Max's epic freak-out at knowing about the existence of someone that nobody knows, complete with him acknowledging the appropriateness of it. It was the only time so far that I've not completely disliked the Wonder-reboot. HOW DOES IT FEEL, MAXIE?

Other than that, though, I'm feeling kind of glad that I held off on buying this title.

I think we're going to see Max end up the "hero", he is going to kill Wonder Woman 2.0 returning her to her normal mindset and making people remember who he is.

Booster's speech is WONDERFUL. "I HAVE DIBS ON BEATING MAX YOU ASS. BACK OFF. " And Atom's little "I got it please don't go any crazier' reaction is beautiful. Oh Booster. ♥

I've missed a couple issues of this (hi, I'm perletwo and I'm a Magog-o-phobe) - what happened with the big Jaime in Peril thing the advance covers were teasing? Is he retconned to be La Dama's niece now, or something?

First trans Beetle? If anyone would write it it would be Winick, but he's not on the short list of authors I'd even begin to trust with such a storyline.
