Honestly I can't remember the last Marvel book I even picked up. I certainly haven't read any Hulk books since Jen's was cancelled, and I was away from here for about six months, so I haven't been doing the cursory S_D follow either.

Is it me or is Glenn Talbot's Class A's seem to be closer to depicting the rank insignia of a Major GENERAL (two silver stars on the shoulder thingies, his are gold mind you, but stars nonetheless) as opposed to one gold oak leaf cluster for a regular major?

That's that bizarre design for men's coats, with the shoulder flap that's folded to the neck and buttoned. A two-star general would have the two stars together, at the end of the shoulder.

Yeah.

Jarella was fridged (Before Fridging was even a term!) Talbot died fighting the Hulk right after he and Betty was married (he was in a tank that fed on his life force and overexerted himself), and Hirohim died in WWH or shortly thereafter.

Jarella died. She wasn't fridged. There is a difference. Just because the person who dies is a woman, doesn't mean she was "fridged".

IIRC she was crushed to death by some falling debris during her first adventure on Earth after coming there with Hulk.

If not a fridging, then it was still a pretty pointless death.

That's odd. Although everybody kept saying "no, no, Talbot's dead", the flashback of the Winter Soldier torturing him in Soviet Russia indicated that he could be alive.

Seems thoughtless to simply confirm his death without additional drama.

Well, if you thing about it, one guy is made out of stone, the other guy manipulates stone. It makes sense that they'd hook up. And lends itself to rather imaginative lemonfics.

Chaos War related I assume? Though I thought Glenn Talbot was alive already when Loeb suddenly had Betty and Glenn show up alive at the "funeral" for General LMD Ross before the reveal of Betty as She-Rulk.

Oh and somebody has to make the obligatory joke of "Hiroim can't be gay! That's impossible! He's like a Spartan!"

I have to say it amuses me more than anything else since their wasn't any hint of it on panel at any point between Korg and Hiroim. Also while powerful, I have to indeed wonder where Caiera is and if she and Jarella love talking about Hulk between one another in their dead err free time.

Well, during Fall, Bruce listed the loved one's each of the heroes had lost. Spider-man had Gwen, Namor and Wolverine had their wives, and then Korg had Hiroim. So, there's that.

Well, based on how Korg's species "mate", and given the fact he is a ROCK THING:
1) Does he even have a gender? His species only has type of person, there is no "male" or "female", as far as we know.
2) If he doesn't have a gender, then how can he be gay?


Also, I find it funny that Jarella and Hiroim are both very powerful, but the general can't really DO anything. He's just a puny human!
