Date: 2011-03-01 04:38 am (UTC)And call me cranky (OK, now I KNOW someone's gonna call me cranky), but I'm getting a little tired of Stilt-Man and Paste-Pot Pete being the official scapegoats whenever Marvel needs someone to mock. Sure, Pete will never be awesome, but he's certainly more competent than he used to be, and as for Stilt-Man, the main reason the various incarnations of him have been losers is the fact that losers keep getting cast in the role - a halfway competent person in the Stilt-Man armor could be a very effective criminal. Marvel has a zillion other criminal incompetents - why don't they mock THEM? Why don't we get people mocking, for example, Turner D. Century? Cut Pete and Stilty a break already!
And M.O.D.O.R.D is, I agree, genius.

Date: 2011-03-01 11:06 pm (UTC)There's another problem with this - it implies that the two knew each other as kids, which we know is not true. Colleen and Misty met each other as adults, so this contradicts their established history.
Really, it would have been better to have kept the date on the picture obscured, or have there be some other reason that they don't want to talk about it - like the two of them got reeeeaaaaaaally drunk one night, and when they woke up found that they'd gotten a Roller Derby cup somehow.
