I made sure to point this out when the preview pages went up, but "Disco Highway" may be the single most ridiculous and therefore best story in the entire anthology.
Dazzler has hired Misty Knight and Colleen Wing as security for her world tour. Wackiness has ensued.
This entire thing is a neverending font of icon/avatar pictures.
( three pages after the cut )

So Shang Chi's dad is in the process of being brought back from the dead by the Black Dragon Society, but they need his son's blood. Two of the Society's agents, a Life Model Decoy of Nick Fury granted full memories and independence by the Zodiac Key named Max Fury and one John Steele, kidnap Agent 13, Sharon Carter, for leverage.
John Steele reminded me of an old supervillain I haven't seen in a long time, and I found confirmation in an off-hand reference to Steele's backstory. Steele was captured by Germans in WWI and studied by the man who created the Supersoldier serum, AND the father of the man who created the process that empowered Luke Cage.
4 pages from Secret Avengers 9 and 7 pages from the 22 page story from Power Man and Iron Fist 83 to show you this other guy. Bonus cameos of Misty Knight and Colleen Wing, as well as two of Luke's old girlfriends.
Warning for racism

The Real Power Of Comics

I thought this would be fun post to do and another opportunity for everyone to participate.
So last week my best friend and I were at a local comic book store and I spotted Adam Hughes's poster The Real Power Of The DC Universe:

This has always been one of my pieces because it showcases and celebrates arguably the most dominant female characters (and some of the most dominant characters period), and not to mention some of my all-time favorite characters in comics. What I always find interesting about that picture is that some of the characters showcased, I wouldn't have initially thought of as a major player in the DC Universe but when I pondered further, I realized that an argument could be made on the impact they've made on comics and even comic-related media (movies, cartoons, etc.).
This of course got me thinking about Marvel. If I had to choose 11 heroines, anti-heroines who have made the biggest splash and are the premiere power of the 616, who would they be?
