The last few issues of Secret Avengers have been done-in-one stories by Warren Ellis and a rotating cast of artists. It's been a pretty good read so far.
#20 came out yesterday, with art by Alex Maleev. After the Avengers get wiped out in the field, Natasha's the last one alive. She has a time machine. She has to save the rest of the team by changing history so subtly that no one realizes it's been changed at all.
One of her planned timejumps takes her to the 1960s.
( two pages, more or less, after the cut )

Here are four scans from Secret Avengers #13. Part of the Fear Itself crossover.
It's the battle of Washington D.C. and it's time for something awesome.
No context, no explanation, just awesome.
Enjoy.

So now that John Steele's been reintroduced and the Shadow Council's been established as a threat, Brubaker's off Secret Avengers.
Nick Spencer's on for four issues, taking the cast through Fear Itself, and then Warren Ellis's coming in for a very, ah.. spiritually successive six.
Perhaps the latter's why last month's Point One issue wove semi-realistic espionage dynamics together with universe-specific concepts, featured competent protagonists working under a very specific methodology, and was self-contained overall.
( Also, Steve solved an ideological question with punching and Mister Negative oozed a subtle menace. )

So Shang Chi's dad is in the process of being brought back from the dead by the Black Dragon Society, but they need his son's blood. Two of the Society's agents, a Life Model Decoy of Nick Fury granted full memories and independence by the Zodiac Key named Max Fury and one John Steele, kidnap Agent 13, Sharon Carter, for leverage.
John Steele reminded me of an old supervillain I haven't seen in a long time, and I found confirmation in an off-hand reference to Steele's backstory. Steele was captured by Germans in WWI and studied by the man who created the Supersoldier serum, AND the father of the man who created the process that empowered Luke Cage.
4 pages from Secret Avengers 9 and 7 pages from the 22 page story from Power Man and Iron Fist 83 to show you this other guy. Bonus cameos of Misty Knight and Colleen Wing, as well as two of Luke's old girlfriends.
Warning for racism
