The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

An oldie but a goodie as normally mortal adversaries unite against a common enemy.
Per last issue, a first strike has been made and an escape is under way.

The rest is just character interaction, and a candidate for "one perfect moment".



So suspecting that the Kkore would come after him after he has outlived his usefullness (as they had massacred their own shock troops, the Grennij, in the previous issue), Scorpius makes a break for it, causing some damage and a first blow to the Kkore, and take Dominar Rygel with him.

As often as these two have been at each other's throats, the two recognize the survivor's skills in the other, and they have been zigzagging across the Uncharted Territories, trying to make their TRUE trajectory a mystery.

They accidentally come upon Kkore drones and their recon ships, and are shot down.


We all have seen just what a tough bastard Scorpius is. Shot at, stabbed, poisoned, interrogated, infected and biologically linked to others (via telepathic germs) to another's pain of having limbs removed.

Guess who is tougher?

4 hours later, Rygel manages to reach land and revive Scorpius. Scorpius pulls out a distress beacon and they await rescue. And familiar face arrives, and they convince him to take them to see the one race the Kkore have been avoiding like the plague.

*wish the art and colors could be better, but I am still enjoying the ride.

But when he does, it tends to be the industrial strength awesome.
