I came across this movie a little while ago, and since there's such a large base of science fiction and horror fans here, I thought that I'd post it.

I started watching the blinky clip, but then around the time the boy started telling Blinky to kill everyone in the rain I realized that there was probably going to be a violent ending and paused it.

So without spoiling anything . . . am I right?

Nothing violent is shown on screen. With the exception of the last few seconds which I thought was completely unnecessary which basically ruined the mood for me.

It's implied pretty strongly that it's misdirected anger at a really bad home situation. He's being an asshole, sure...but the real culprits are the parents, here.

To scare off photographers. It may or may not actually be specifically able to target cameras, but it should make the shutterbugs think twice. Meanwhile, visitors who aren't breaking the "no cameras" rule can breathe easy.
