scans_dailyI admit, this might be recycling from Cracked, but this was so...unpredecented...that I thought I had to share.
In plain terms, Superman, or rather Kryptonian tech, had the ability to change people's race. Not just skin color, because Lois didn't just turn black, her hair spontaneously turned into an affro and well...just look...
Wow, I know her schemes are suppose to be some forms ditzy or cute, but man is this self-serving. Also I never knew Metropolis had a Little Africa (really, is this still in canon?)
Anyway, at Little Africa, this is the response she usually gets:
She concludes it's because the black people are RACIST against her being white (which arguably, is in some parts true) and NOT because she's asking patronizing and probably racially insensitve questions in the quest to get an article to make herself look 'deep'.
Naturally, she goes to Superman for help, for insight, for his take on the racial issue as a total outsider to this planet and society and -
Oh, who am I kidding, she wants to be turned black.
OF COURSE, IT'S YET ANOTHER HAREBRAINED SCHEME TO GET SUPERMAN TO MARRY HER! THIS TIME BY USING RACIAL GUILT!

By the way, if you're hoping by the end it turns out Lois learns her lesson to be racially sensitive and to respect other people's cultures, you're asking too much. Because it turns out it's the black guy who called her out in that 2nd panel who learns his lesson; to trust white people.
