At what point does that travesty of a plotline directly address mental illness? I skimmed the early parts, saw the awful, and fled.

You have to have lost your mind to think the dead cat scene is anything but ridiculous.

Well, Roy keeps seeing hallucinations of his daughter. I thought when I saw it that it was drugs!fail saying that heroin is a hallucinogen, but that could be his mind snapping after his loss.

Plus, I think that it's less saying that the story is about both, but more that the award is about both.
