Laura still has issues, and Gambit calls upon Logan for a chat. Someone we know and love comes along.

Now, spoilers for the last *two* pages in the image after the cut, and many a fantasy will be born.

Oh Jubilee. I can't help but think her thought process went "I can't go after Logan for a love interest, he's too old etc... Oh helllooooooo X-23."

Anyone know if she's received her sparkle powers back somehow as of late?

Well, considering Jubes is a vampire now, in a few hundred years the age difference between her and Logan might not seem that much. :p

And no, she doesn't have her fireworks powers back, but in the Wolverine and Jubilee mini they showed that she's got different vampy powers like super strength/speed and she was even able to turn herself into mist for a minute.

She was back to normal in the Age of X universe, (powers and all) so if we assume this is set pre-AoX, she may be back to her old human fireworks-shooting self soon.

The way I hear it, Age of X didn't really amount to anything--in fact, I think it was just in someone's head!

Chamber is back to his old self after AoX, so they could apply that same retcon to Jubes if they really want to.

Only physically, not power wise. As far as I could tell, all that happened was that his bone reconstruction was completely reversed, not that his powers came back. A physical, not genetic change. Vampirism is genetic. or Magical. Either way, something that I dont think was affected.

He was all Apocalypse' out and didn't have his old powers -- now he's back to his original Gen-X state, glowy chest hole and all.

im guessing it has to do with the fact that she needs to have wolverine's healing blood in her for her to help with her bloodlust (she is a new born and that blood lust is pretty strong)

with wolverine not around (and x-23's blood probably being more potent) she probably used her blood instead

It makes sense why she'd drink Laura's blood. Except this looks like someone else to me.

I'd honestly ship this with just about anybody. Its just really freakin' hot.

But X still works best. Pixie would just be... awkward. She's still too nice to let anything like that happen, and I would bet she has some issues with people taking away life-things from her, after the whole Magik-soul-stealing deal.

The fact that Laura cuts her neck makes it even more shippy--in most fiction, when a human's offering themselves, they cut their wrists or something. Laura literally wants Jubilee to neck her! :O

Normally I love this artist's work, but Laura looks like Tifa and Jubilee looks 10. I want to read it anyway though, because that last page... damn... that last page.

Jubilee has always looked really young, except in those awful cases where there's a lack of breasts and it's necessary to draw her in a "different" way.

This scan right here, from nation X #2, I think completely nailed how the characters are supposed to look. The kids look like older teenagers, which is what they should be. Not ten anymore. And Jubilee looks like she actualy grew up, without being an adult.

Don't know about the Tifa part, but Jubilee definetely looks younger than she should be. It was kind of annoying me.

I can't ever really get into Takeda's art. It's pretty but it's just TOO pretty. And shiny.

That last page makes me laugh since Laura basically seems to be swooning like some woman in an old Dracula movie. Someone fetch the smelling salts!

With the shippiness of that last page, I'm totally imagining Rockslide off to the side being all like, "Nooooooo!". Or maybe taking pictures. Maybe both.

Oh, and if anyone's curious as to why I'm bringing up Rockslide, they showed in the Wolverine and Jubilee mini that he has a crush on Jubes. That makes me giggle like a little girl whenever I think of it. Hee.
