Heh! I hate Guns 'N' Roses, but I like Slash away from Axl, especially Obsession Confession.

It's been tried in canon (before either of them put on costumes) and didn't work out between them as a couple. This was mentioned a lot whenever they saw eachother for the first few years after 52.

Well, I guess, but I just see it as one of those relationships that doesn't work out but the two people still remain friends. Sort of like Babs and Dick, but then again people still slash them.

(They are both my absolute favorite comic book characters of all time, but I don't like them together. They tried it, it didn't work, time to move on)

but... okay, as I say, I liked them because of of the angst/on and off factor; but in theory I don't see why they couldn't give it a try. Yeah, they tried it and it didn't work then, but they were both in very different places at the time. Kate didn't know what to do with her life, and was basically aimless and a little bit self-destructive. Renée was focussed on being a by the book cop then, and very much closeted.
Since then Kate has found what she wants to do and be; and Renée has gone through hell and her own period of aimlessness and self-destruction and gone back to the other side as a stronger and more grounded person. They probably have much more in common now, as two superheros, than they did then. They're still both very bullheaded in ways that lend itself to lots of arguments and difficulties finding a good balance, but there's no reason it should be unworkable obstacles. No reason it should be a sure thing, either; but definitely of the 'worth giving it a try' realm, especially given how much they still love one another after that many years without even seeing one another.

There is not a single thing that I don't like about that cover. :D ::happy Hal/Barry shipper is happy:: The only way it could be humanly better (for me, at any rate) is if Soranik/Iolande and Wally/Kyle were somewhere in the mix, but why be greedy?

So... I saw the title of the post and thought "Slashpoint, eh? Is that like Flashpoint, only gayer?" I'm so glad I was right. I ship all of the couples pictured except for one. I don't mind alternate universe Barry/Hal, per se, I just don't ship it, like how I never shipped Kon/Cassie even though I like both characters a lot and they dated in canon for quite a while. Although I'm confused as to why Ted looks like Jaime's older brother. Not that I mind, as long as he's alive.
