Whew! Been a long time since I've done more than lurk and commentate, but I've finally got enough downtime to set up some fun scans and I'd like to share where things have been going since last I contributed.
So, since I've posted last, I've actually pulled up stakes from sun-drenched Fort Worth, Texas and moved to sun-drenched Los Angeles, California. While stressful and trying, I've been fairly successful in my first year out here, working as an Assistant Editor, getting my first apartment (not crappy at all, I'm proud to say) and finally acquiring a decent, new-ish car. I'm trying to move into development and screenwriting, but even with connections and opportunities, that could take into next year. With hiatus on the show I've been working on since last fall starting this weekend, I'm trying to line up and knock out personal projects before pursuing new professional work starts the hectic schedule up again.
What's there to look forward too on Scans_Daily? Well..
- The Return of Amalgam Universe postings! (starting with oft requested Magneto and the Magnetic Men)
- The Hacker Files: When I.T. Was Radical (early '90s comic with government spooks and outdated jargon; will you laugh or cry or both?)
- The Stranger Side of DC (with Shadowpact, Ragman, Zatanna (early minis), Madame Xanadu and The Spectre).
- The Magical Education of Tim Hunter (wide-spread selects)
- Examining the Science of Firestorm (old and new)
- Richard Dragon, the Philosopher and the Fighter (appearances in The Question and his non-canon mini).
- Other character profiles: Aztek, Hourman (robo-version), Chronos, Crimson Avenger (old and new), Resurrection Man, Uncle Sam and the Freedom Fighters.
I'll probably spread this out over the rest of the year (and into the next), but I'll start getting things up ASAP. Marvel will get some action later on, but I'm focusing more on DC/Vertigo for now.
There's all kinds of other bad, cracktastic stuff I've come across, that might make up another series of posts, such as "Scare Tactics."

Yikes.
And just for giggles, here's a 4pane Dark Knight meme entry I cooked up one night while bored and struck by a "Waitaminute" thought:

Follow the logic and the entire movie falls apart: The Joker next tried hiring paranoid schizophrenics as his henchmen. Instead of following his precise instructions to the letter, they got confused easily and wandered off.
Until the weekend, folks!
