Moon Knight #3, the All-Exposition Issue
Jul. 7th, 2011 12:18 pmMarc Spector has an Ultron head. He stole it from the still-unknown Kingpin of LA. He's blown the cover of Echo, working undercover on Avengers(or probably just Captain Rogers) business.
No, I'm not posting the Bullseye pages
The issue begins with him talking to Echo on the phone(yeah yeah, I know, and I got upset reading the first page, but remember that this is the same Bendis that had Maya not know when Spider-Man was talking to her, and he doesn't have the memory of a Goldfish. It's handled.) and promises her a hot dog "worth relocating to LA" for, from Pinks(side note - Pinks hot dogs are supposed to be so great, but Bobby Flay won a taste test against them on Throwdown and he's got a much worse record on that show than on Iron Chef, so maybe they're not as great as they're made out to be).
Then cut to three months ago when Marc Spector is handling pre-production issues on his show. Unfortunately, the show is already in production.

The interview

Then here come the Bullseye pages from the preview. Three months in the past, presumably when Bullseye was a Dark Avenger. Marc's new consultant on the show is the guy he was interrogating.
There's more to it, but I aint spoiling that.
Back in the present, Marc has given his ex-SHIELD consultant the Ultron head for verification that it is, in fact, an Ultron head. He verifies that it is made of Adamantium and Vibranium, reducing the chances of it being a replica to almost nil. They discuss bringing it to Tony Stark and some feelings die hard.

And he's right. The still-anonymous Kingpin of LA is angry.

Date: 2011-07-07 06:22 pm (UTC). . . Also that the Avengers have really got to be more careful about disposing of Ultron components because this is about the third time something like this has happened.

Its a ugly cycle, but fun.
