Curse of the Wendigo announced
Jul. 15th, 2011 01:16 pmAs I am dropping my DC as soon as DCnU hits, I need to pick up something. And I am always grateful that here at Scans_Daily I can find something new to stimulate my mind. CosmicBookNews has the news from yesterday about a project I think might be very interesting.
From the article:
Set in France during WWI, Curse of the Wendigo follows a desperate alliance between isolated French and German soldiers, who must temporarily stop slaughtering each other to fight a new terrifying threat : the Wendigo, a creature preying on soldiers from both sides. Joining the search and destroy party is one of the very few Native Americans enrolled in the US Army at the time, who followed the evil trail of the once human Wendigo from his tribe's land up to the French trenches…
And I am sold right there on that idea.
The fact that the artist will use old photos and use the french comic style to have the environment of the setting actually feel LIKE a real place with character, and not some standard background really makes me believe I will have a refreshing (though horrific) comic experience.

Date: 2011-07-15 10:17 pm (UTC)The one with the kid who played the younger brother in Malcolm in the Middle sucked too.
The one with Robert Carlyle, Ravenous, was awesome though. A good horror western, that.
The one from the BPRD comics was both interesting and sad though.
