scans_daily So, I will be posting some Love and Capes goodness here on SD. Most of what I will post will be from the webcomic site, as I don't have all the IDW compilations and this way is a lot easier for me.
Now, where is that "make a cut" button?
Well, I suppose I should start by explaining a bit.
Love And Capes is the story of Mark Spencer, aka Crusader, a traditional flying brick (with the extra power of Magnetic Resonance vision, which is oddly like X-Ray vision), and his girlfriend Abby, a peppy young gal who owns a bookstore. It's a slice of life comic about superheroes, and verily, it is awesome.
Yes, we will admit, the heroes are not very original. Crusader, Darkblade, Amazonia, Golden Torch, Arachnerd... we can all see who is who. The fun part is that it focuses on the people, and it's pretty dark entertaining. So for now, I give you Abby finding out her boyfriend Mark the accountant is CRUSADER!
This is starting to remind me of Pre-Crisis Superman a touch... but it'll get better, don't worry.
Mark takes Abby home (back to HER apartment, despite the fact she went to visit HIM) and she begins to see the bright side of dating a superhero.
But this moment kind of made me keep reading. This one right here (then I'll hold off unless folks want more).
Yes Abby. Yes you are. But at least Mark and Charlotte love you. In totally different ways.
Man alive, if I didn't say that, the shippers would be on that like... insert totally appropriate euphemism here.
THEY ARE SISTERS PEOPLE! COOL YOUR GUNS!
Okay, and that's Love and Capes, pt 1. Should I keep going with series highlights?
