DC Made their official announcement announcing that several of their past female creators will have projects coming up. Also that they have new projects as well as attempting to work with Other female creators.

Right now, it's talk. But, they made an official statement. its out there now, and the validity will be based on what they do in the next few months.

It's kind of ironic that we have a scan of a female character being so useless when we have news of DC's confirmed "(re)commitment" to female characters and creators. x');

But I'm interested in where this will go. I think they really need to start treating their female characters like characters instead of disposable eyecandy though, that'd be a good palce to start to me. And if they had more female writers in the place place, they wouldn't have to confirm any 'commitments'.

Personally I won't consider this newfound "commitment" to be official until we have books on the shelves (or the online store, whatever).

Hi! Did not forget that I am going to try to draw that. Haven't had time to do anything just yet, though. Also, I am hoping that this supposed commitment to female characters and creators is genuine, and executed properly. Also, what in flying fuck is up with Zatanna's new costume? At least the old one made sense in context, as essentially a stage costume.
