I'd really love to pay attention to how fierce she looks and all but all I can keep thinking is, "Is she kicking that dude's butt while holding an apple?"

My problem is I see apple and think teacher. My next logical step is...is she Selina or Helena?

In my mind, the one thing that gives away that this is not Helena (Bertinelli) is the fact she tends to do worse things to anyone who threatens a child, whereas Selina has a bit more control over her use of violence. An excellent case in point: with Helena B there would be a blunt object involved in the beating, followed by a threat of being tossed over a 10-story building.

Nolan's not nearly stylish enough, or doesn't have quite the right style as a director to pull that sort of beat off, to me.

Wait, so the apple is actually part of the scene? I just assumed that it was them prepping for the scene and afterwards she was having a light snack.

Style isn't just down to whether it's in the script. Nolan has blown it for me before in his Batman work before - the finale of TDK with Gordon, Dent and Batman in particular being one of the most poorly lit and shot things I've seen. But on the other hand, the fight between Ra's and Batman in BB is one of my favourite things ever.

So it's not a matter that he's actually shot it, more how it looks on screen.

What I like is that in some of them it kind of looks like she's taken another bite out of it in between pummelings.

Makes a change from the cliched "woman getting mugged so the hero saves her" thing that they used in Batman Returns, Catwoman, one of the Highlander movies, Spider-Man...

A woman out having her lunch when she suddenly has to fight off some dude robbing a kid.

You know, I got great mileage out of that page (and the similar one for Diana) in lightly trolling some of my friends when they first came out. Tell them, "Oh my god, the new issue of Countdown sucks, but it has a canon nude picture of Wondy in it, with no censorship!" and watch them scramble for scans... *evil grin*

Man, blonde Harvey Dent I could accept, but it's so jarring to see Selina as a straight-haired brunette. Granted, Michelle Pfeiffer's curly blonde is just as "wrong," but at least she wore a full head-covering cowl. When I see Hathaway, the only Catwoman I'm going to see if this:

This...might actually work. Nothing about the name Anne Hathaway or her career in anyway screams Catwoman to me...but it might work...

Her face with that make-up really does sell me on the fact she can be Selina Kyle, but I still think her body in general doesn't look like she's athletic enough for the stunts she's suppose to do.
