All this time, when a true united front could have saved millions, and you were holding that vital piece of info back?
Talk about pulling a rabbit out of nowhere.

Up until that moment I have really liked the series.
But as small as that little reveal is, it really affectshow I enjoy the series.

There's a certain amount of sense there. The power is shared. The twins had "regular" levels of super-powers; it was only when one twin was gone that the other got a power boost. If they'd been sharing it among three it would have been hardly any power at all. So if the third one didn't want to be a superhero, it makes sense he'd go away. And even if they brought him back, he wouldn't have the experience of the other two.

Yeah, plus what would be the advantage of revealing him earlier? It'd just put the third brother at risk of Plutonian's wrath, without any noticeable gain to make up for it because, as you said, the power is shared.

If I understand correctly Survivor got more powerful when his brother died/went missing. Does that mean that Survivor or his remaining brother have to die?

Survivor previously said that the power was all his in the first place, he just shared it with one of his brothers. However, we don't know how reliable a source he is regarding his family and closest secrets.

Considering that Survivor can generously be said to have gone a little off-the-deep-end with power after handing Plutonian his first smackdown, I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if he'd rather people didn't know about his other triplet.

Especially since I'm fairly convinced as a result of this development that it's the other triplet who's the full source of this power.

Given how this series has delighted in making things go from bad to worse (usually in the Plutonian's favour), I wouldn't be surprised if the Plutonian ended up being the third triplet. He's supposed to be an orphan, isn't he?

To be fair, this was the only time Scylla could have revealed that information. It was only after his 'death' that Survivor became so powerful, and his other brother was brain dead.

It's clear that Survivor wants all the attention, so he'd have no reason to bring up his other brother. And unless you're in the GOP, being brain dead makes it hard to talk.

That said, I kinda wonder what 3rd bro is doing. He's been hiding out all this time, while the planet was ruined?

Hmm, reminds me of the Hero Alliance's "Gemini Plus", twin brothers who had a set of super-powers they could have between them and switch around, and who we found out were actually not twins, but were the two survivors of a set of identical triplets, and they were powered by the life energy of their stillborn brother.

Scylla and Charybdis.. poor third sibling hasn't got an easy name if he goes into the superhuman game, assuming he's still alive.

Best case, he'll have to go with Ulysses if he wants to keep any sort of theme.

To be fair, those were excellent names to choose, no one would think of there being a third brother because their names are entirely rooted in the concept of duality.

Well, given it was made up on the spot since Mark Waid's pretty upfront about not knowing where his stories will go, it still is a pretty good idea. Hell it's what makes the book so much fun.
