Given the sort of party this is scene is occurring at, cost would appear to not be an issue. (There's also a bunch of free ones on the internet that are multiple choice types, but those typical aren't calibrated right.)

Possibly, but the "rich people suck" spiel from who I presume is the kid's mom inclines me to believe that his family doesn't have a crap-ton of money to throw at these sorts of things. (While health insurance can cover the majority of the cost, as it did in my case, that's usually only for diagnostic purposes. Even then you still have to pay $250 out of pocket. At minimum.)

Either that or she's a raging hypocrite
