The argument.

The massive self-assembling, self repairing Sentinel unleashed at the end of last issue has swatted
away Logan into the Pacific, right towards Utopia.

The Sentinel has one command. Destroy Utopia island.

That massive feat Scott pulled to clear sentinels "off my lawn?" Meant nothing to it, as it got back up like professional wrestler the Undertaker. With the X-men scattered across the world fighting the other activated Sentinels, it's up to an exhausted Scott, the Five Lights, a few New X-men...
... and Wolverine.

Wolverine and Scott argue about sacrifice and escape. Not everyone will survive this if they stay and fight. Wolverine is against putting kids in harms way, Scott is pro-survival of the species as a united front.

Scott gives his command, Logan doesn't like it and walks away. The choice is given to the kids to follow Logan or stay and fight. They stay.

So Logan makes his own move.

I disagree based solely on how he dealt with kid Apocalypse and afterwards. Especially how he acted afterwords. If Logan really wants to be sincere in this stance towards kid, he needs to step up and talk to Fantomex about what happened.

Yeah, I'd agree much more with Logan if he didn't strike me as so hypocritical (with kidappocalypse, and also with Laura). And if it didn't seem he picked the worst ever moment to decide to disagree with Scott in a way that directly prevent them from properly defend themselves.

Kid Apocalypse doesn't strike me as overly hypocritical, seeing as how Wolverine didn't kill him, he was set to bring him back to the mansion until Fantomex shot him. I imagine while he's not too happy with Fantomex over it, he also sees that situation as kind of a necessary evil.

As for Laura, she's a clone of himself who has been through similar conditioning to him. He understands where she's coming from, and may realize that Laura's already lost whatever innocence she has. He does care for her; we saw him express remorse over putting her on the first X-Force line-up and refusing to let her return to it. I think he just understands that she's a lot farther gone than most people, and is trying to do the best he can to keep her on as decent a path as he can.

He was against killing Kidappocalypse, but once Fantomex did it he acted as if it was the right thing to have done (to the point of shutting up Deadpool when he was talking about how it still felt wrong to him). He seemed very much in denial then.

For Laura, yes, Laura was far from innocent in the sense she had already been used and abused by the Facility into being a killer; but that's exactly why it felt so wrong for him to let her be on the X-Force team - he wasn't for it, it's Cyclops who pushed it, but given that he was leading the team he could have done more to put a stop to it and he admitted as much to that later on.

Innocence isn't something you lose once and never can get back - or if that's what innocence is, I don't think there's much value in the concept and in fetishizing it. But children, regardless of what they've gone through before, ought to be protected, and especially if they were abused; they should be helped in not being abused anymore. He failed Laura big in this.

Laura? IIRC, Logan was against putting her in X-Force. He had this whole argument with Scott about how making her a killer again would erase all they'd done to rehabilitate and deprogram her.
