Iron Man looks great. Wolverine looks alright. Carol looks decent. Everybody else looks terrible, except for Hawkeye and Iron Fist, who look absolutely atrocious.

Huh, I thought Carol looks great, Iron Man looks alright, Wolvie looks poor, and the rest are ok (well, Spidey needs to ditch the silly arm blades).

Yeah, the arm blades are what kill Spidey's look for me. Doc Strange needs something better than blue on brown on brown, and grey-Iron Fist is ugly, especially coming from his white and green variants. Also his head and boots shine, and that looks ridiculous. She hulk didn't really change, they just gave her some tatoos, Hawkeye's lines are uninspired and just seem plopped on there so he can have them, and with Natasha they just took Carol's red on black and gave it to her in a less iconic manner. I like Iron Man just because I think they did a good job with the new armor look, and Wolverine because he's at leats different from the rest. Carol just looks straight up nice.

Props to McNiven for making them look anyway decent after seeing how they looked in the initial reveal picture. That was awful.

Haha it's funny because I think that, barring Iron Man, they all look shit, with Iron Man looking just average. Whoever designed this was just plain shit at their job* - the linking theme of Destroyer armor is either totally apparent or nonexistent, and most just look like a gray version of their normal uniform. Which isn't the point of having a Destroyer armor theme.

*hope it's not Immonen, because I love him.

Man, also, I won't lie: After movie-Cap and even Bucky-Cap, Steve's costume just looks ridiculous. The boots, the gloves, the fabric midsection, it all just looks silly.

It doesn't help that with this artist I keep expecting Nextwave to appear.... not that they wouldn't HELP this book.

Oh please, those guns are average sized. If it was 90's Gun Day, they'd be larger than his entire torso, chromed over to hell, and shooting shuriken and lightning.

The dwarves kept laughing at the idea of shield you throw at enemies.

They were already unhappy about crafting a bow, such a silly little elf weapon that Tony didn't feel like pushing it.

I always find it amusing when fantasy fiction convention has dwarves (and other blade-wielders) laughing at anything that isn't heavy and can't be swung around. Shows how many writers ever studied development of weaponry throughout history (and the reasoning behind it).

If anything, dwarves would love artillery weaponry. "I can stay right where I am and fell my enemies from dozens if not hundreds of yards away? Even through armor? Brilliant!" Dwarves, because of their height and reach disadvantage, would be the first race to develop spears and shields, then slings, and finally bows.

By the time the Free Races had gotten together an army to stop the invading hordes, the dwarves will have begun implementing black powder weapons in the field to devastating effect.

That said, if the assumption is that dwarves live underground and thus fight most of their wars in confined spaces/tunnels I could see why ranged weapons wouldn't be that useful: There'd simply not be enough range to makethem worthwhile.

Steve doesn't need silly Tron lines or Asgardian and Dwarf forged weapons to beat the shit out of Gods and Nazis.
