I totally agree about the writing; it's pretty solid. I really love the way both characters are being portrayed here and I totally hear the character's voices as I read. :)

And then they did.

And then Giles was like "Well tickety boo I'm all alive again what-ho british british british" and just generally went around bein' all alive.

...The scones I bake taste good. Even without jam and/or clotted cream. Then again, they're chocolate chip scones, usually, and maybe not the most authentic of theoretically-British baked goods, seeing as how I'm and American and all, and my recipes come from the internet.

I really like this. Even though Buffy/Angel will always be my OTP, I really like that the Angel/Faith relationship here is genuinely rooted in friendship and work really well together, which is a nice contrast to the "forbidden love" dynamic of the former. The fact that they both have dark pasts really adds to their chemistry. :)

Also did anyone else think Faith looks alot like Huntress in some of these panels? XP.

Yeah they're less like a romantic pairing than like... each other's AA sponsors. It's a good bit, it works.

Nah, she doesn't even look like Faith to me here. She's a bit too young and femme and childlike looking, what with the large forehead and little, slightly receded jaw.

She doesn't have that subtly macho vibe which made her one of my rare, ever-so-slight girl crushes. The other ones are Michelle Rodriguez and Vasquez from Aliens.

unlike some of the other buffy comics, these characters are recognizable as their on screen counterparts. good job writers.

(Although, didn't we learn something from bringing back Buffy? Nobody likes being pulled out of heaven)

I doubt they'll be bringing Giles back since Joss Whedon justified his reason for killing him with "it's not the same without Anthony Stewart Head,"and that they "couldn't really do the character much justice since a drawing doesn't fully capture everything Tony brought to the role," or something along those lines. :/

I thought that magic no longer worked, wouldn't that preclude demons (who are by their nature supernatural), and things like super-healing blood?

I gotta say I'll give the book this much, I think it's the first of these SEASON X Buffy comics where the characters actually look like the characters, as opposed to like, horrible mushfaced lumpmen.
