I thought, honestly, that it only disappeared in my viewing or something! Since I'd taken care of it, it wouldn't show for me. :(

How can I put them back? Is there any way?

No problem, I understand not being used to the Dreamwidth interface. It, err, doesn't work like a mailbox. Sadly, I don't think there's any way to put it back, don't worry about it, just avoid doing it in the future. I'd just advice you to take your time getting used to how things work here :)

Certainly better than his previous origin story, where he started an African Rubber Plantation...yeesh.

Well, if I remember correctly, it was told mostly via dialogue, and to give explanation why an African Witch Doctor (named Dr. Voodoo.) and his zombie was after him. (McDuck had cheated them of their land, and forced their people to work on the plantation.)

That story is actually still part of canon, and it does get addressed by Rosa as Scrooge's lowest point. He gets better.
