Wait, so in GIJoe-verse Poland is called Darklonia and is in Eastern Europe instead of Central? FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't know about Poland and Darklonia being interchangeable, but I think that the predominant image of Poland as "Eastern European" remains because anything behind the Iron Curtain was "eastern".

The song that's playing on the radio is in Polish so unless old Polish military songs are popular in Darklonia, then I'd say it's suppose to be Poland.

I've listened to French, German, Italian and Japanese songs on the radio from time to time, maybe they were just tuned to a Polish station.

Yeah, I wasn't arguing about the indentification, just saying that referring to Poland or expy Poland as "eastern European" isn't all that out of line since, at one point, most of Europe was considered "eastern European" from the vantage of the NATO countries.
